My love for hair began in elementary school, with a pair of safety scissors and a burning jealousy for any kid that came to class with a brand new cut. After many years of diy cuts (some good, some very bad), I signed up for Toni & Guy Hairdressing Academy in 2016. Toni & Guy’s architectural cutting approach spoke to my love of math and I felt right at home. During my time with Toni & Guy, I assisted talented stylists, worked on photoshoots (both as a stylist and model), and helped backstage at runway shows, including OC Fashion Week.

Since then, I’ve earned my California cosmetology license and began my journey as an independent stylist in Orange County. I’ve gotten the opportunities to perform in hair shows and work on film sets. Curiosity and experimentation led me to a new obsession in the form of razor cutting- the loose, organic, and intuitive approach was so different than what I was taught at Toni & Guy. It made the basics look unique and romantic, while adding a classic, timeless quality to modern funky shapes. These days I like to mix a little of everything- some mathematics, some intuition, some scissor, some razor.

Currently I work out of a private studio inside a larger salon in Long Beach’s beloved Gayborhood. My passion has always been serving the LGBT community, especially since, as a queer person myself, I’ve experienced firsthand how exclusive the beauty industry can be. My studio will always be open to people of all genders, sexual orientations, races, sizes, ages, and abilities.
